El Chapo, a famous drug dealer  from Mexico, is in trial at the supreme court of Brooklyn, here’s his impressive backstory.

Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera, also known as El Chapo is a famous mexican drug dealer. He was born on December 25 1954 or on April 4 1957 cause nobody really knows his real birth date . He’s the leader of a mexican criminal organization which is the Sinaola Cartel.

El Chapo had a difficult early life beginning. He has 2 sisters, 4 brothers and 3 unknown older brothers that died . He got kicked out of his house by his parents when he was in high school and went living with his grandparents.

He left the town where he was born to go live with his uncle a little bit later after moving in with his grandparents. His uncle was already a famous drug dealer so he led El Chapo to the drug industry in Mexico.

El Chapo got arrested for the first time on June 9 1993 in Guatemala. He was sentenced  20 years and 9 month for drug trafficking , criminal organization and bribery. Later in 1995, he was transferred to another prison with higher security for possession of firearm, drug trafficking and the murder of Cardinal Juan Jesus Posadas Ocampo. El Chapo escaped out of this prison on January 19 2001 by giving money to a prison guard.

He got captured for the 2nd time in 2014 for the same reason of drug trafficking , possession of firearm and bribery. He ran away in 2015 with others sentenced criminals  by digging a 15 kilometers long hole that pass through the prison.

Finally, El Chapo got arrested for the 3rd time in 2016 for escaping the previous prison and because of the same reasons than before. He’s on his trial right now.
