A 66 years-old-man and his son had been arrested, this 8 December suspected to have burned a forest. 

 In California on 14 August, a forest near the Tahoe lake has burned. The fire burned approximately 900 km2 this summer.

‘The blaze lasted 67 days, injuring 5 people and also destroying more than 1000 buildings,’ said the firefighter of California. 

The procurator service of the county of El Dorado said that the charge against them is “criminal fire” with no more precision. 

The drama happened during the festival season. The fire obligated the evacuation of tens of people in this region situated near the big Aplin lake of North America, at the border with Nevada.

The fire was named Caldor Fire because the fire started near the town of Caldor, a city situated near Omo Ranch.

The Caldor Fire started on October 14, 2021, near a little mountain. Initially, there was only a small intention on it because of the larger fire burning already near there but rapidly changed when the fire became really fast bigger on August 16 due to high wind.

The fire became 6 times bigger in just one day. On August 20 the fire was near Highway 50, forcing a closure of a part of the Highway.
