YouTube Star Raises 525 704$

Some people earn their life shooting YouTube videos, and accomplish great things. Tyler Oakley is such a person. He has been on YouTube for almost a decade. Over the years, Tyler has done a lot for the Gay community. He has met the president of the U.S.A. and he has reached 7 912 972 million subscribers. Let’s take a look at everything he has accomplished so far.

Tyler Oakley was born on March 22th 1989 in Jackson, Michigan. He started making YouTube video to keep in touch with his family and friends. He didn’t know that a few years later YouTube would be in his everyday life. His first video was called “raindrop”, the video was published on October first 2007. The video has now 412 140 views.

In 2015 he made a lot of guest appearance on “The Talk”, he attended playlist live, he went at the Grammy’s, he was a guest on Access Hollywood, he co-hosted the MTV show “Catfish”.  He also hosted the YouTube Music Award, he created 50 episodes of “Psycobabble” his podcast with his best friend Korey. He won best LGBTQ+ podcast at the Podcast Award. He attended the correspondents’ dinner at the White House, he was a guest on Good Morning America and on “Hey USA” an internet Tv show hosted by his two friends and fellow Youtubers Grace and Mamrie, he was a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, he attended man fashion week in NYC with Darren Criss. Lately, he published his first book called “Binge”, he hosted the Streamy Awards with Grace Helbig. He was on the cover of Seventeen magazine with Zoe Sugg, he was a guest on the Today Show and he produce a behind the scene movie called “Snervous”.

Tyler supports The Trevor Project, an organization for the prevention of suicide among the LGBTQ+ youth. Since 2011 Tyler has co-hosted the TrevorLive. For his 24th birthday Tyler raised 29,000$ for the Trevor Project and for his 25th birthday he aimed to raise 150,000$. His goal was reached on March 6th 2014 by the time the campaign closed, he had raised $525,704. However this large amount of money proves the underestimated power of Tyler’s follower.

His follower or “his people” as Tyler call them are very thankful for everything he has done. They won’t forget about him anytime soon.
