Jack Eichel Turns Into Princess

Jack Eichel Turns Into Princess

Buffalo Sabres, Jack Eichel, started to act as a little princess after the difficult season his team went through.

The buffalo Sabres finished the 2016-2017 season win only 78 points (33 wins,37 losses and 12 losses in overtime). That gave them the unwanted 26th place in the NHL ranking what means that for the sixth year in a row they missed the playoffs.

Jack Eichel asked the sabres organization to relieve headcoach Dan Bylsma of his duties or he wouldn’t sign back with the team. Eichel’s rookie contract ends next year, so Buffalo will have a big decision to take this summer. Eichel is one of their best players and is seen by many as a key figure for the future of the franchise.

Eichel is also angry because he missed a 2 million dollar bonus by a 0.005 point margin. Eichel had a 2 million contract bonus if he finished in the top 10 in average points per games in all the NHL. Eichel finished his season as the 10th player of the ranking but Leon Draisaitl an Oilers player scored a goal and an assist on his last game so Eichel got relegated to the 11th place.

Also, Eichel finished his second season with 57 points in 61 games, which gives him an average of 0.934 per game . Leon Draisaitl finished his season with 77 points in 82 games which gives him 0.939 point per games. Eichel wasn’t really happy about that and he said that it was the fault of his teammates if he lost the bonus.

Jack Eichel said:” it’s important to realize that you can’t be satisfied by the fact that you are in the NHL I’m here to win.” Eichel really wanted to win so after the terrible season his team had he wanted more from everyone in the team including himself.

His agent Peter Fish said:”I don’t know where anyone is getting these reports, but they are ridiculous in a word. Jack, he left Buffalo, he thought he had a real good meeting with coach Bylsma and a real good meeting with General Manager Tim Murray. When he got home to Boston, he was genuinely excited with the thoughts that maybe they’re just a few players away from getting into the playoffs.”

Maybe his agent kind of destroyed the rumor but on April 20th the organization of Buffalo Sabres fired headcoach Dan Bylsma and general manager Tim Murray. One may think that Eichel won the struggle.
