The career of Éric Salvail, a Canadian television animator, and producer, has changed after the SPVM received 3 complaints of sexual harassment from him.

A dozen people testified the acts of the animator especially his working colleagues.

According to the complaints of the victims, the animator adopted many inappropriate sexual behaviors toward his employees, causing him a lot of trouble.

V, a television channel, doesn’t collaborate anymore with Éric and his publishing house, Salvail & Co. They suspended the TV shows ”En mode Salvail” and ”Les Recettes Pompettes” for an indefinite time.

Radio-Canada affirms that his behavior was unacceptable, and won’t do any business with him anymore.

This situation outlines the importance to talk when we are a victim of sexual harassment. In Québec, 40% of women and 15% of men have been sexually harassed. ”It’s the data which send us back to the recent cases of Éric Salvail and Gilbert Rozon”, add Christian Bourque, vice-president of the polling firm Léger.
