To say goodbye to 2015, Jordan Roseman (also know as DJ Earworm) decided to do a mashup of the greatest pop songs of the year. This is the ninth edition of his videoclip series called “United states of pop”. Adele, Maroon 5, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd are some of the artists that are in the video called “50 Shades of Pop”.

Jordan Roseman was born in San Francisco in a big family of musicians. He has a unique style that everyone loves! In 2003, he started to do mashups after studying in music theory and computer science. A mashup is a mix of videos, images and sounds that are assembled to create a new song.

We can find his annual mashups in the top 25 songs of the year on Billboard’s Year-End Hot 100. On July 2013, DJ Earworm released “SummerMash ’13” featuring a mashup of popular songs in the spirit of the summer. He did “SummerMash ’14” in August 2014 and “SummerMash ’15” last year. In 2006, he published an “Audio Mashup Construction Kit”, a manual that explains how to create mashups. To create his mix he uses Adobe Audition, Ableton Live and DJs Live. Earworm uses Final Cut Pro X for the videos of his mashups. He did 12 other mashups that are not annual. Here are the ones he did each year in the “United State of Pop” series:
