After playing 1768 games in the NHL, Patrick Marleau has beaten Gordie Howe in terms of games played.

« Since 2009, he hasn’t missed a game. It’s unbelievable. I’ve had injuries here and there. He takes care of his body and trains more than anyone else. » said his teammate Marc-Édouard Vlasic with admiration.

After being drafted in the second round in 1997 by the Sharks,  Marleau has mainly played for the Californian team, but he has also evolved for the Maple Leafs and briefly for the Penguins.

The 41 years old hockey player has amassed 1196 points in his career.

Nobody knows if the legend wants to continue his career but his teammates, Marc-Édouard Vlasic would be grateful to play again with him. “I’m going to try to force him to play 2000 games, it’s going to be even more impressive.”
