November 18, 2021
The singer Harry Styles is going back to the big screen with Don’t Worry Darling.
Don’t worry darling is a psychological thriller in which Florence Pugh plays an unhappy housewife in the 1950s. She starts to question herself when she notices strange incidents in her small city in California. She then discovers an upsetting truth about her husband, who loves her dearly, but is hiding a dark secret from her.
The movie directed by Olivia Wilde features Florence Pugh as Alice and Harry Styles as Jack in the lead roles. The movie was announced in August 2019. Florence Pugh joined in April 2020 followed by Chris Pine. In September 2020, Harry styles joined the cast and replaced Shia LaBeouf that was fired for bad behaviour on set. Kiki Layne joined in October 2020 and replaced Dakota Johnson due to a schedule conflict. Gemma Chan was added as well in October. Olivia Wilde also plays a little role in her movie.
We already have 10 seconds Don’t worry darling trailer! Olivia Wilde shared it on Instagram. In the trailer, we can see Florence Pugh in a 1950s style. The clip shows Harry and Florence, husband and wife, getting intimate. We don’t see a lot, but Harry wearing a brown AF suit and Florence wearing a floral blue dress is enough to say that it’s going to be good.
The movie was longer to film due to Covid-19. The three lead actors had to be quarantined because they had been in contact with someone who had contracted the virus. Don’t worry darling is going to be released on September 23, 2022. You’ll be able to watch it in theatres. We don’t know on which platform yet.
