The price of lodging grew by 27% more than last year in the province of Quebec. 

In our days, apartments are harder to find, very expensive, and are also getting rarer. There are more people that are searching for them than there are available. 

At least, a little less than 50% of people that are having an apartment devote fifty percent of their income to paying their accommodation. For some people it’s very difficult to end the month. Especially, for a single parent who has a little family, student or even, old person.

Since 1987, the price of apartments has grown by 208% in the district of Quebec.

Because of the pandemic, the real estate market got carried away, leading to a sharp rise in dwelling prices. Moreover, when everything was confined, all the construction sites had been stopped by force. When everybody was confined a lot of people noticed how it was important to get home.

There is no group more affected than another. This crisis is affecting more people than we might think.
