Ottawa Asked Help to La SQ

Quebec provincial police have been sent to Ontario, to help them get rid of a protest against the health measures. Canada had these people protesting against COVID 19 health measures for three weeks now. This manifestation paralyzed the city downtown.

Thursday, tactical troops have been asked to participate in the police operations at Ottawa. These groups of soldiers are under the commandment of the Provincial police of Ontario.

“I expect everyone to work with the City of Gatineau, with its police forces, to ensure that the judgment rendered by the court is respected by all,” said Alexandre Fortin, parliamentary leader of the Quebec Liberal Party and Member of Parliament for Pontiac,

“We have the tools to act,” said Manon massé, the leader of United Quebec (Quebec solitaire)

According to Radio-Canada, tens of policemen are from SQ (police of Quebec) and they are formed to take care of crowd control and they are supposed to be on-site for at least 72 hours. This deployment is so big on the Ontario side of Ontario that The SQ thinks they will be more people in Ottawa than in Quebec this weekend. While another manifestation will happen at the same time in Quebec.

In general, this manifestation is about people from Canada being tired of COVID health measures so they block streets and do stuff to protest against it.

Wednesday, The Police of Ontario started to give people warnings saying that if they don’t leave the site they will get charged.
