The World Health Organization Refuses The Use Of The Médicago
March 21, 2022
The biopharmaceutical society Medicago’s new vaccine has been refused by the world health organization.
Although it has already been approved by Health Canada, Medicago’s COVID-19 vaccine may not be considered by the World Health Organization (WHO) due to the company’s ties to tobacco company Philip Morris, which is a minority shareholder.
Since 2005, this UN agency has had a very strict policy regarding the agreements that can be concluded with companies that have a link with the tobacco industry or the armaments industry. This is the case of Medicago, which has Philip Morris as a minority shareholder.
Mariangela Simao affirmed during a press conference: “The ONU and the OMS have a very strict policy regarding engagement with the tobacco industry and armaments, so it is very likely that it will not be accepted for emergency use” As this was said, we knew that this vaccine won’t be accepted.
This Canadian company has made a vaccine that has the goal to protect people from COVID-19. This company is based in Québec. They put most of their effort into development and the commercialization of their products. They use some pseudo-viral particles to put them on the market such as Nicotiana Benthamania, a branch of tobacco to create proteins as vaccines and medications.
