Kanye West Hits Bottom Hard

Several sponsors and work associates have been severing ties after a series of antisemitic remarks by the infamous rapper.

A few days only after Ye, known as Kanye west, declared in an interview with Drink Champs that he “can say antisemitic things and Adidas can’t drop me,” the German company he had worked with since 2013, decided to cut ties with the rapper thereafter.

Earlier this month, a tweet saying that he would go “death con three on JEWISH PEOPLE” got his Instagram and Twitter accounts blocked. According to his sponsors, Kanye later apologized, but it was too late.

Balenciaga and GAP decided to cancel any collaboration with Ye, while Foot Locker announced that they would never have Yeezy shoes in stock again.

Losing his most important partnership with Adidas and many other collaborations with famous brands reduced Kanye’s net worth from approximately 1,8 billion to 400 million American dollars. Since his net worth is now under a billion dollars, Ye was also removed from Forbes’s billionaire list.

Also, major sports stars have decided to end their association with Donda Sports, a brand management agency that the artist launched on May 31, 2022.

The day after Ye’s partnership with Adidas was ended, the Grammy winner, after arriving completely unannounced, was kicked out of Skecher’s headquarters.

On October 22, an antisemitic and white supremacist group dropped banners over a highway in Los Angeles. One of them said: “Kanye is right about the Jews.” The Kardashian family expressed their support to the Jewish people after a Nazi rally took place again in Los Angeles.
