Why are the Tate brothers in jail?

Zackary Langlois, Journalist, management

In fact, Andrew and Tristan Tate got arrested. The two famous kickboxers were put behind bars on December 29th. The Police caught them in the villa where Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan stayed. They put the British brothers in jail on charges of kidnapping and rape.

Why are they in jail?

“The two suspects appear to have created an organised crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialised websites for a cost,” DIICOT said in a statement.

They also got arrested over rape and human trafficking cases.

Who put them in jail?

The Romanian gendarmerie arrested the Tate brothers. This organization has the status of a military force police force. It is one of the two police forces in the country, along with the Romanian police with civilian status.

Romanian authorities had a hard time finding the two suspects. Still, they were able to locate the brothers because pizza boxes from a domestic chain called Jerry’s were visible in Tate’s video response to Thunberg. In fact, Greta and Andrew Tate were fighting each other over Twitter.

Greta posted a tweet about greenhouse gases, and Andrew responded to her about his cars producing a lot of greenhouse gases.

In response, Thunberg tweeted back with an insult directed at Tate’s manhood.

And after Gretas’s tweet, Andrew Tate responded with the video that led to the arrest of the two kickboxers two days after Andrew’s publication.

The arrestation

The two brothers were arrested on the night of the 29th of December. They were first put on a 24h detention, but the  DIICOT extended the detention for 30 days. The Bucharest tribunal also decided to extend the detention of the suspects, wich means that they won’t get out until further notice.
