In China, Henan, 13 people died in a fire that started in a school dormitory.
The fire started at midnight on Friday in the dormitory of a Yingcai school in a village called Yanshanpu. “At midnight, the local fire department of the village received a call concerning a burning building of the school,” said the state media. According to this source “The help needed arrived fast and they could stop the fire a little bit later.”
The fire began around 11 pm and was put down before midnight. Some videos were posted on social media before the incident happened which shows young children learning calligraphy. The logo of the school can clearly be seen on their uniforms.
Local authorities have opened an investigation to know what or who started the fire. They arrested one person linked to the school.
The news agency from China didn’t say there were children involved in the victims, but there were. “It is so terrible, 13 children out of 13 families, all gone in one instant. If there is not a severe penalization, they will not rest in peace,” wrote one of them on social media.
This story repeated many times over 20 years. In November, 26 people died and many got hospitalized, because of a fire that started in a building of a society producing coal in another province.
This was reported by a news agency in China on Saturday.
