This weekend both competitive hockey teams of La Camadière had an incredible chance to show their talents but both lost to the opposing team.
It was a hard start for the M18 D2 with two defeats. The first game was not in their favour. The Coyotes from St-Gabriel Highschool prevailed with a score of 4 to 2. There were a total of eight penalties.
During the second game against Les Braves du Rocher, you could feel the determination on the ice as much as in the stands. Unfortunately Charles-Olivier Doré was injured in the first minutes of the game, “I was going in the goal zone, ready to score when a player hit me right behind the knee. I was diagnosed with a ligament sprain. I couldn’t play anymore”, said the player. Losing a teammate destabilized “Les Éperviers”. Several players were disappointed with their performance because they thought they deserved victory.
The last game against Les Blizzard de la Magdeleine was spectacular. Surprisingly “Les Éperviers” won their last game against the best team they faced. Both teams were efficient in defending their zone. However, two easy goals were made by our team, but there was a comeback in the third period by “Les Blizzard”. People in the crowd were screaming and cheering. There was a lot of tension, penalties, injuries and players ready to do anything to win. It was a tight game until the very end. Les Éperviers left with a 2 to 1 victory.
Meanwhile, the M15 D2 won two games out of four. After all the M18 and M15 are coming back with a total of three wins out of seven games. Les Éperviers are all hoping for the best for the rest of the season.
