On February 18th, one of the greatest games in NBA history took place in Indianapolis. Eastern and Western side conferences were affronting each other to see which team stands out the most.
For the first time in ten years, the East won. Since the NBA All-Stars were created, no team has managed to get higher than two hundred points until Giannis and his team proved the opposite by ending the game with a score of 211 to 186. “Everybody was asking what the record was,” Lillard said. “We found out and went after it.” Both teams had incredible players with different talents, which made the competition even more difficult.
The Eastern Conference made a total of forty-two three-point baskets out of ninety-seven attempts. It was quite the opposite for the other team with a total of twenty-five-three points out of seventy-one attempts.
Several individual highs also took place. Damian Lillard a player for the Bucks of Milwaukee was named MVP of the All-Star game with a total of thirty-nine points, three rebounds, and six assists. It was his first game ever in the NBA All-Star. Damian became the first person after the star of basketball Michael Jordan, to win game MVP and a Saturday All-Star event in the same year. “Anytime you’re mentioned in the same category as Mike, it’s an honor, it’s a major accomplishment, even if it’s All-Star Weekend,” said the player from the Bucks.
On top of all, it was an awesome game for the fans of the NBA. Everyone is hoping for new records next year especially Lebron James since he is retiring in a few years.
The NBA already announced the place for the 2025-2026 NBA All-Star game. One is in San Francisco and the other one is in Los Angeles. The price for a cheap ticket is around 1007$, it can go up to 154 000$ or even more.
