During the night of Saturday, February 24, 2024, a woman was murdered terrifically in her own house. All the surroundings are in shock.

On the night of February 24 to February 25, 2024, a 42-year-old woman named Joëlle Lapointe was murdered in her semi-detached house, 98, Johnny-Parent. The help of the population has been asked by David Poitras, who is a police officer in Québec City, to have as much information as we can to help the investigations.

The family that lives in 100 Johnny-Parent, the same semi-detached home where Joëlle Lapointe was killed, is in shock. “We were celebrating my husband’s 49th birthday while she was a victim of something horrible that nobody wants to live in his lifetime.” said the victim’s neighbor. The neighbor’s son was also surprised by this event “We always see these kinds of things in movies and never think it can happen here in Québec.”

Police are waiting for the results of the autopsy to confirm the causes of death. However, a fire has been used to cover up the murderer of Joëlle Lapointe.

They also explored all the possible hypotheses including that her husband could have been part of this tragic event. “I’ve been asked so many questions, I understand that they are looking for information but this is a lot to take in.” said the victim’s neighbor. The community is still in shock days later, but police are doing their best to discover what happened.
