The 25-year-old Euphoria’s co-star Conor Angus Cloud Hickey, mostly known as Angus Cloud, was found dead in his family residence on the 31st of July.
The cause of his death was announced nearly two months after the tragedy.
Even if most of his fans suspected his death to be a suicide, his mother was sure it wasn’t. ”We may find out that he overdosed accidentally and tragically, but it’s abundantly clear that he did not intend to check out of this world,” she affirmed on Facebook.
The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau confirmed it was an accidental overdose due to “combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and benzodiazepines.”
Even if he was severely depressed because of the death of his dad the week prior, Angus did not want to leave this world. “I don’t know if or what he may have put in his body […] I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art projects, fell asleep and didn’t wake up,” his mom said.
His death brought a lot of sadness to his family, his friends and also a lot of fans.
“The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,” his family stated.
His friends who worked with him on the famous HBO TV series Euphoria, posted messages online talking about how they wish he would still be with them and how much they missed his smile.
Before his death, he filmed 3 movies that are still not released. He was also still working on the new season of Euphoria. which worries fans of this show.
The new season is delayed to 2025 for many reasons and fans are scared for the future of Fezco, the character who he incarnated.
