After over 40 years of teaching, monsieur Jean Brouillet a physical education teacher at la Camaradière decided it was his time to leave for his well-deserved retirement.

Monsieur Jean has been teaching at la Camaradière for more than 25 years. He always knew he wanted to work with kids to inspire them and to make a positive difference in their lives. He could’ve worked as a career adviser or with senior citizens but had an opportunity to become a physical teacher.

“Monsieur Brouillet is a devoted teacher who loves his job and motivating his students,” said Mélianne Lamontagne one of his pupils. He is a very generous, empathic, thoughtful, and helpful man. With his contagious energy, he likes to share his passion for sports with people through activities inside of school like volleyball, swimming, and even playing Kinball. He also privileges being outside since he leads walks in the forest brings his cohort to Duchesnay and trains people to run along the St-Charles river. Monsieur Jean even sometimes goes downhill skiing with his students. He is very invested with the girls that are in Fillactive. Every year, he goes to the “Celebration Fillactive.” This consists of running five or ten kilometers.

The physical education teacher decided that this year would be his last complete one and would probably do half of the upcoming one. “It’s a grief for me because I’m going to miss my students a lot and it’s a big change. I am also excited at the same time because I will be able to do other things and spend more time with my loved ones,” said Mister Brouillet. For his retirement, monsieur Jean would like to travel a little, do music, especially the piano, and do photography because he is passionate about it.

La Camardière will not be the same without monsieur Jean Brouillet. All his students and colleagues wish him an amazing retirement.
