New Sports Facilities At School

New+Sports+Facilities+At+School

The school has recently improved its sports facilities, new installations were added in the old training room and in the academie.

These changes started on Thursday January 18th and ended on Monday January 29th for a total duration of eleven days.

As for the old gym, there has not been a lot of improvement. There are now more cardio machines including more stationary bikes, treadmills and elliptical trainers. It still has all its old equipment.

In the academie, they added synthetic grass in addition to multiple new machines. For example, there are now sleds, these are machines which consist of pushing, pulling or simply moving a mass of any weight along a flat surface. There are also normal weights and squat racks and power racks.

This new room is used by many as some of the extracurricular sports teams and for certain groups during physical education classes but it is mostly the hockey concentration who benefits from this new place. The players promote their training and improve their physical conditioning by having better installations and this leads them to having better workouts.

“We have been improving a lot physically since the beginning of the year, we are now jumping higher and we have way more strengh in our arms. Also, our team is closer than before and there is a better chemistry.” said a student who uses the gym once a week with her volleyball team.

Many think that their training is better structured and see a positive difference between the old workouts and the ones at the moment. According to several students it is more pleasant to train in those new and better conditions.

There is a schedule for everybody who wishes to do physical exercise and go during non classes hours. The whole school has access to it.
