Every year, the school organizes a show for students to demonstrate their talents to other students, parents, and more. This year’s show went higher than the expectation.
This year the show took place on April 18. Tickets were on pre-sale for $8, but $10 at the door that evening. The ticket cost has increased compared to last year but the show was also a lot longer than usual. During the night there were dances, singing, acting and much more.
During the evening, there were little shows in between the presentations to keep the spectators entertained. It was the acting group that created those shows, they were going back to different types of movies, they did for example Barbie, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, and more. The school dance team performed 3 dances, and one of them was created by the dancers themselves. The Glee Club performed 3 songs: Counting Stars, Rewrite the Stars, and House of Memories. Many bands at La Camaradière performed plenty of songs.
Some courageous people performed alone, there was a girl who played A Thousand Years by Christina Perri on the piano and another sang I Will Always Love You by Whitney Hutson. The crowd was on fire during these performances.
This year’s show was quite long compared to the other years. The other years the show was around 1h30. This year, the show was about 2h30, with more performances. We also had the chance to listen to a brand new band at la Camaradiere, there was a pianist, Amy Bolduc, a guitarist, William Asselin, a drummer, Henry Lacoste, a bassist, Clara L’italien and a singer Eugénie Tremblay. They were singing rock songs, it was quite loud because the electric guitar was connected to a speaker and it resonated quite loud.
This year’s Camashow was very impressive and entertaining as Emma said, one of the students that attend the show every year. The public hopes to have an excellent show next year like this one.
