Released May 9th, 2024, the German Serie Maxton Hall had the most successful launch as a non-American show on Prime Video.

Adapted from the book “Save Me” by Mona Kasten, Maxton Hall’s genres are love and drama. The directors, Martin Schreier and Tarek Roehlinger made the characters go from “enemies” to “friends” to “lovers” to “strangers” to “enemies” to “lovers” in just six episodes.

The story takes place in a prestigious fictional prep school in Germany where Ruby Bell, a young girl who doesn’t come from a wealthy family, witnesses a dubious interaction between Lydia Beaufort and someone else from the school that she shouldn’t have. That’s when James Beaufort, Lydia’s brother, gets involved in the story. The Beaufort family is one of the wealthiest and most powerful in Germany and they are used to always getting what they want. James then tries to buy Ruby’s silence in many ways.

The lead characters Ruby Bell and James Beaufort are each interpreted by the talented actors Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung. ” I LOVED this series! It is the perfect show to watch if you like to binge-watch. Also, I found that James Beaufort is super attractive so it was a plus. I also appreciated the way James can talk to Ruby and the way Ruby was able to get under the tough shell James put on” declared Sophie, a fan of the series.

Maxton Hall was a hit for many because it occupied the number one spot on Prime Video in over 120 countries. Fans of the popular show are already asking for more from Maxton Hall’s forbidden lovers so season two is being worked on now.
