Lab22 is a Quebec-based organization specializing in ecological changes in schools. It aims to help the ecology and environmental transition. For example, La Camaradière High School worked with them.
This organisation wants the younger generation to feel that their ideas and concerns are heard. To make it happen, they co-create better solutions about the environment and the ecology, put them into action, and see beyond them.
They offer a presentation to help students and schools be more sensitive to the environment.
The Quebec school pact is divided into four parts. The first, “School Governance,” recognizes the social and environmental responsibilities of educational institutions. The second, “Teaching and Educational Activities,” promotes and encourages teaching content related to the environment and eco-responsibility. The third, “Infrastructure and Resources, “applies eco-responsible principles and practices in building management and all related activities. Finally, “Community partnership” involves working with local partners to support the initiative’s success.
The mission is to call out the younger generations to raise awareness about various issues, which are mostly social and environmental. Also, it generates positive and sustainable transformations for communities. This impact would not only raise awareness but also actively participate in shaping a better future through innovative thinking and technology.
Lab22 wants to make sure that young people are aware they can repulse, gather, and co-create so their projects turn into reality. Furthermore, they want them to know they have a power they can use to do an act that will help the population.“Lab22 comes in response to a need often expressed by school community actors, parents and frequently advocated by young people, which is to move from words to action on the issue of climate change! This ambitious project is both meaningful and impact-generating.
