Trump’s plan to send immigrants away could turn into an economic disaster for the americans.
The new president elect of the United States, Donald Trump, promised to send away all the immigrants of the country. It would be the biggest deportation in the american history. Most of the american will be strongly affected economically.
“All undocumented immigrants will need to start packing” said Mr Vance, an american politician. We count approximately 11 million people that will be sent away and maybe more due to the us-born children who will probably leave the country with their parents.
The immigration council mentioned that it could cost as much as 315 billions dollars to move and deport all the immigrants from USA.
With all those people going away, a lot of employers will lose their employees. Services like daycare ,electrician and plumber will all slowly disappear. Employers will not find enough people to all replace them and it will be more difficult to find those kinds of services. For instance, 24 000 people would need to be hired every month to replace the deported workers.
In Canada, a lot of immigrants are working in farms during the summer and produce a lot. “The reason we have local vegetables or chickens on our shelves is mostly because of the immigrants” The presidents and CEO of the Latino Donor Collaborative, Ana Valdez precises. According to expert, the price of farm product could raise up from 15 to 30 percent.
A lot of company will lose their productivity due to lack of employees. They will not produce as much as they wants to. Therefore, it will cause a big loss of money for these company.
Immigrants contribute $76 billion U.S dollars from taxes, and $254 billion in spending. This will automatically make prices higher everywhere in the states.
