Trump would’ve sent women back in the 1950s, by deciding for their very own bodies. Lots of young liberal women are upset that a man who was found liable for sexual abuse was elected. Not only was Donald Trump accused of sexual assault 19 times, but several members of his cabinet have also faced serious allegations. For example, Pete Hegseth, Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defence, was accused of locking a woman in his hotel room and assaulting her during a Republican women’s event in 2017, according to a police report.
Their primary goal in this movement is advocating for their abortion rights, which were taken away in many states. Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, West Virginia and many more are examples of states that have either banned abortion or imposed strict restrictions on it.
The 4B movement is originally from South Korea, it was created after the murder of a young woman near a Seoul train station in 2016. The criminal admitted to killing the woman, claiming that feeling ignored by women drove him to commit murder.
The term 4B derives from the Korean word bi, meaning “no”, and represents “the four no’s”. No marriage (bihon), no childbirth (bichulsan), no dating (biyonae), and no heterosexual relationship (bisex).
It challenges societal expectations by encouraging women to focus on their independence and reject systems that exploit or constrain them.
Although gaining popularity, the movement remains controversial, both in South Korea and in the U.S. Critics say that it’s too radical, while others are strongly supporting the 4B movement.
