The biggest telecast in the history of television, the Super Bowl, arrives in Louisiana this February. Here’s what to expect from it.
The official finalists came out this weekend, Saturday the 26th, and they are very exciting as they are two great teams.
The first team is the Kansas City Chiefs, they won their place in the finals by defeating the Buffalo Bills. This is a very strong team; in fact, they won 3 Super Bowls in the past 5 years which makes it a 60% success rate. Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback, is one of – if not the best – quarterback in NFL history. Although his job as a quarterback is to pass the ball, he managed to hit a 10-yard touchdown, very surprising for his position.
The other team entering the stadium will be the Philadelphia Eagles, they won their spot this weekend by winning against the Washington Commanders. Even though they only won the finals once they managed to sneak in four times. Their best player is Saquon Barkley, their running back. This year, he successfully became the ninth player in league history to surpass 2,000 rushing yards (Number of yards he ran) with a respectable 2,005 yards.
The halftime show by Apple Music will be also impressive for it will be Kendrick Lamar, a popular american rapper. Although He already participated in 2022 with Dr.Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Mary J. Blige, he wasn’t the main star of the show. This time he will be and he is very excited for this event.
Kendrick said: “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.” This shows how much it means for him to be playing his music on one of the biggest stages and how he will do his best to show the world his rap.
This event will be at the Ceasers Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on the 9th February. It hosted the Super Bowl a few times, so they are already prepared for this mega-event. For now, the price of a ticket is more than 6, 310$ Canadian dollars and the game will be one of the few matches that the price won’t depend on the teams playing.
The Super Bowl LVIII (58) has broken the records of the most watched live telecast and it is still the current record-holder with 123.4 Million live viewers. This year’s final might break the record depending on the teams and lineups that will show up in the finals as some people watch it only to root for their local team.
The kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. HNC (or 7:30 p.m. in Quebec) Sunday, February 9 and it will stream on FOX, Tubi and on the NFL’s digital properties.
