NBA 2K16 is a 2K basketball game developed by Visual Concepts. The game released on September 29th, 2015 on current gens, old gens and PC. Here is my appreciation/review of the whole game.

MyCAREER

MyCAREER is one of the most popular game mode of the game. In this mode, you create your player in a professional basketball team. You can also upgrade your player’s skills by winning games and/or money game. This year, The Spike Lee Joint has participated to the development of the game mode MyCAREER. That means that you start to play with your character while you are in college and then in a small university season. There is now a story to your player’s life. Themes like family, love and friendship are important for your character, and sometimes you need to take major decisions that will affect your game experience.

MyGM

MyGM is another popular game mode. In this mode, you incarnate the new general manager of a NBA team of your choice. In other words, it is the other side of basketball. You manage everything from signing contracts to food price in the stadium. You play games with your team and earn money game. This allows players to assume the role of a general manager.

MyPARK

MyPARK is an online game mode. This mode lets you take your character for playing online matches and winning money game. There are also three MyPARK communities and everybody needs to choose the one they are going to be part of at the beginning. In every communities, there is a special ability boost that comes with your choice. For the MyPARK games, you can choose to do 1-on-1, 2-on-2, 3-on-3 or 5-on-5 versus other players. Finally, this year, they remade all parks for each communities and they added competitive events and streaming events.

MyTEAM

MyTEAM is an online game mode. This section is very interesting because it let you create your own team with a custom logo. You can also create your player’s jerseys, the court floor and your arena. Users are also able to choose their team’s name and their own look for creating his own NBA franchise. For choosing players that are going to play in your team, you need to win player’s cards in the MyCARRER game mode by becoming friend with players buying some with money game. Finally, you play online matches with your team and you try to become first in your franchise.

MyLEAGUE

In the MyLEAGUE game mode there are two sections. The first one is online. In this one, you can form a team with your friends or other users that goes from one to thirty human players, so users can experience a full thirty-team league. When you’re done with the team, you can trade and sign other players. There is also the playoff race and the champion team at the end of the season. The second section is offline play. When you start a team in this mode you have two options, franchise and season. You can also do everything that is part of the online section but it’s a single player mode.

APPRECIATION

I really liked to play the new NBA 2K16 game because of the new additions. The Spike Lee Joint’s story in the MyCAREER game mode was absolutely amazing and the MyPARK mode is very interesting too. You can also improve your skills without playing hours and hours and this is nice because you don’t need to play that much to understand every concepts and tricks. The NBA 2K16 game is a good game because of the community too. There are many people playing and it makes the game seem alive.
