The Hockey team U15 D2 at La Camaradière has had a good season this year. With their 17 players, they finished the year with a record of 19 wins and 8 defeats in the regular season. “According to the games I attended this year, they seemed very good!” said Mayka from secondary three.
In the playoffs, they were eliminated during the fifth game of the semi-final, which was a 3 out of 5 (this is a round where the first team to win three games out of five is the winner). Their semi-finals were against Samuel De Champlain’s school team. They played seven games during the playoffs. Their record is four wins and three losses.
They qualified for the Provincials in Quebec from April 24th to April 27th. It sadly didn’t end as intended, with a record of 3 losses in 3 games. Even with that, they finished third overall in the east section and 14th on 57 in the province.
According to RSEQ, three players stood out on the team with their number of points during the season. In third position, with 19 points, Félix-Antoine Doré. In the second position, with 20 points, Charles Bilodeau and Alexis Boivin, in the first position with 51 points.
Talking a little bit about Alexis Boivin, he is 14 years old and plays with the number 9. He started playing hockey for two years when he was six, then paused for three years and returned on the ice only three years ago.
According to some boys in his team, Alexis is one of the most hard-working players in the team and some even say that he would be underrated. “If it wasn’t from Alexis, we wouldn’t have gotten this far during this season,” said Jeffrey one of his teammates.
Even though he is one of the youngest, he managed to get an impressive total of 51 points during the regular season. 35 of them were scored by a goal and 16 by an assist. Following that, he scored eight goals and four assists during the playoffs, for a total of 12 points. His 12 points still make him the player with the most points on the team during the playoffs.
In June, he will participate in the United World Games, a dek hockey tournament that will take place in Austria from June 17th to June 27th. He plays in a league that practices at the Chauveau stadium and is in the category U17 AA.
