6D helmets are new in the extreme sports industry. The 6D company make helmet for many different disciplines like motocross, street moto and trail bicycle. Those helmets are equipped with a different technology from other helmet. It prevent concussions and head injuries. It is named Omni-directional suspension technology.

The Omni directional suspension technology dates back from 2010. It consist to reduce the energy generated by an impact impact with mini suspensions between the shell and the foam. When there is an impact the dempers will work to isolated shock energy from your brain. The elastic properties of the dempers, combined with their unique “funnel” shape provide a progressive spring rate that manage injuries. Because of this new protective thecnology the helmets are more expensive. The prices are between 250$ and 900$ depending of the model. While other brands like: Bell, Airoh, Shoei and Arai are priced around 600$.
