Should we Use Pesticide in Our Field?

Our field is pretty well guard we use insecticide to kill invasive insects that kill our plant. the neonicotinoids a derivative nicotine product, nicotine is use in cigarettes. It attack nervous systems of the insects when it is touch by the product but this product kill bee to. 37% of Ontario bee die each years because of that insecticide. The atrazine an other powerful insecticide is use in our field. It as been ban in the European farm from 10 years ago but it is still use in ours. Some farmer says they don’t really know the effect. We use pesticide to kill the bad plant too. in 2012 the Quebec agriculturist buy 3 774 940 pound of glyphosates or roundup, a powerful pesticide. This pesticide as been declared carcinogenic for the human by the international center of recherche on cancer. The number of pound increase by 27% from 2006 to 2012. Should we use pesticide in our field.It contain pretty big risk for us and the environment. I think the pesticide utilization should be more regulate in Canada. In this text I will explain why we should use other type of pesticide.
Environmental risk
The pesticide contains many environmental risk. One of the main environmental risk is on the water source. The pesticide of the field goes in the well of the farmer. so the nappe phréatique can be infected by the pesticide. The pesticide can go more far that the environment minister thought. A survey as demonstrate that the aquatic species as the lobster in the Northumberland Detroit is in decreasing number since the last years. In the environment minister river studies 100% of the swatch have atrazine, glyphosate, néonicotinoids and S-Métolachlore, four powerfull pesticide that is in the top of the list for the hightest environmental and health risk. Some river like la mascouche and l’acadie contains up to 30 different pesticides. The insecticide kill the bee. It as the effect what it is supposed to do: kill insect. When the bee pollinate the flower some of the insecticide touch the foot of the insect and attack is nervous systeme like is supposed to do with invasive insect.
Health risk
An etude as prove that the pesticide doesn’t really affect the human because it is in low quantity but the some effect can happened in long therm. One effects of drinking low concentration pesticide is blindness. A resercher of the sherbrook university as done a survey if the pesticide give cancer and the answer is yes. the pesticide affect the hormone of the women and does produce more estrogen to the women and increased the chance of having breast cancer. The pesticide can be in link with the Parkinson disease. A Scottish study as prove that it can have a link between the two. The studies as prove that a high exposition to pesticide upgrade to 39% of chance to have the nervous disease.

Paul Stamet, a person in greenpeace, has got the idea of doing pesticide with mushroom. He call is pesticide “smart pesticide” the mushroom use in the pesticide is the fungi mushroom. The mushroom are know for their ability to kill the insect and to protect crop. The pesticide as bad effect on human and on environment like says earlier but the fungi pesticide as not those effect and is as effective. paul Stamet has the idea of the pesticide by seeing ant carpenter avoiding fungi spore. So he create the fungi not in spore the insect eat the mushroom and died by hisentomopathogenic, or insect-killing properties. The fungi mushroom as an effect to drive away the invasive insect. the pesticide doesn’t pollute and work with insect.
To finish the chemical pesticide are too toxic to use in the nature and comport a lot of risk so environmental or human. It has some solution to the problem but we doesn’t want to use it because it is to expensive or not even develop. We must start to use bio pesticide to save the earth.
