Since Halloween is just around the corner, Geneviève Maheux decided to organize many different activities for the occasion.

She came up with four specific activities which are :

• Haunted house
• Costume contest
• Momify your friend
• Presentation of a Halloween themed movie

Let’s first talk about the haunted house. Since a few problems have occurred with the organization of the haunted house last year, Geneviève chose to make some slight modifications.

The biggest issue with the haunted house was that too many students wanted to go through it. They waited in line for an hour but never got to experience it. To solve that, the activity was extended to two days, and you now have to sign up at her office. There are 140 spots available. Hurry up, the first to sign up will be the first ones to pass the threshold.

Also, the haunted house has changed location. It is now hosted in the basement of the school rather than the auditorium which leaves a lot more space for our actors to do their job. This activities will be on the 1st and 2nd of November. Don’t miss it, who knows what might be lurking down there…

Let’s now talk about the costume contest. Two teachers and three students are going to watch students parade in their outfits and will have to judge their costume based on :

• Beauty
• Originality
• Fabrication (It means that if you made the costume, you will get more points than a a costume you bought)

The contest will be held on October 31st.

A new activity will also be introduced: momify your friend. The goal of this activity is to wrap your friend in toilet paper. The prettiest mummy will be crowned winner and will get a prize. this game will be hosted on November 3rd.

And lastly, the movie : Hocus Pocus will be presented in the auditorium on November 3rd and 4th. If you don’t know this classical witch movie, the story is about a teenage boy called Max Dennison who moves to Salem with his family. When the night of Halloween comes by, he is forced to go trick or treating with his little sister. When both of them find themselves trapped in the house of the three Anderson’s witch, you know something evil is about to happen….

All those activities will be offered at lunch time.
