Another Glorious Year for Laval

After a deficit of fourteen points, Laval university Rouge et Or made an unbelievable come back and won their 9th Vanier Cup with a score of 31-26, on Saturday afternoon.

The game was stressful and many Rouge et Or fans were biting their nails. The Calgary Dinos were completely dominating in the first quarter. The table was set as the Dynos threw a 80 yard pass for a touchdown right at the beginning. Very soon The Dynos were 14 points ahead. By the half of the second quarter, Quebec started to build their comeback.

Laval were down by only 2 points when Raphael Robidoux-Bouchard blocked a punt kick. Then, Christian Dallaire recovered the ball and ran to the 15 yard line. This play allowed the Rouge et Or to score the winning touchdown.

Many CFL and NFL scouts were mainly there to see Antony Auclair play. The Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots are the teams that are the most interested in him. ” Winning the Vanier Cup with Adam (his brother) is very special, I couldn’t believe it. If it was my last year in Laval, it would be the best.” said Anthony Auclair. Both of them played an important role in the victory. After the game, they immediately went to see each other, and hugged.

We hope our team will continue on this glorious and victorious path.
