I am diagnosed anorexic for a year now and my lowest weight was 41kg. For some people this weight may seems normal, but I got back in hand before the situation worsened.
For my entourage, most reacted well. Of course, some people do not understand the disease, but they help me as much as they can. It is also verry difficult and worrisome for a parent.
It is very difficult to live with this disease on a daily basis. There are more difficult days than others, but it is all part of recovery.
I realized that something was wrong because I was always cold and I was losing my hair. These are anorexic symptoms. I did some research on the subject and I realized that I matched all the symptoms. I talked about it to my mother and she helped me to ask for help.
Since this time, almost every week I have a meeting with a nutritionist, a social worker and a doctor specializing in eating disorders.
Don’t forget to be more vigilant about this disease and if you need help or know someone in need, do not hesitate to ask for help.
