Volleyball team La Camaradiere
January 26, 2016
La Camaradière high school has four volleyball teams. This year, our teams were very successful in their tournaments.
Part of this success can be attributed to coach Vincent Dubé. He started to play volleyball in primary school, but more seriously in secondary five at this very school. He has already played with Limoilou college, for the Citadel U18. He is now playing for the senior club of Quebec’s Citadels and in the league of Laval University. The coach motivates his players to never give up.
The school’s teams are part of a league which is called RSEQ. Presently, Our U14 team is ranked thirtieth of fifty in Division 2d. The players have one tournament every 2 two weeks, and they have four games of two sets of thirty minutes. There are 5 tournaments during the year, and one in Montreal that lasts two days.
A volleyball team does a lot of physical training, and plays twice a week. Volleyball involves bumping the ball, running, jogging, and serving the ball. It entails superior fitness levels as team members pass the ball to each other, and spike it against the opposing team. During practice, athletes play games to be at their best in tournaments. Also, they do a lot of muscular exercises like climbing staircase, riding stationary bike, doing push ups, etc. Its all part of the routine.
Presently, our teams are gathering money to go to Montreal, so please support them.
”Your team becomes your family, the ball becomes your best friend, the court becomes your home, the game becomes your life.”
