An Olympic medalist on the Celebrity Wall

There are many people on the Celebrity wall at La Camaradière school, Katrine Savard a popular Canadian swimmer is one of them.
Her beginning:
The athlete was born on May 26th, 1993, at Pont-Rouge close to Quebec. She started competitive swimming at 10 years old for the UNIK swimming club of her native town. Her mother was scared of water, so she sent her daughter to some swimming lessons because she didn’t want Katrine to inherit her fear.
Studies:
The daughter of Mario Savard and Linda Girard came at La Camaradière secondary school in the swimming program. Then, she went into social science at Cégep de Sainte-Foy. Later on, she wants to work with children so, the athlete is finishing her studies at the University of Montreal in primary education.
Victory:
Her biggest triumph is that she won the bronze medal in the 800 m freestyle relay during the 2016 Olympic at Rio. She was also part of 2012 Olympic where she ranked 12 for the 400 m four styles relay.
Between 2010 to 2015, the athlete went to many competitions: the Jeux Panaméricains, the Jeux du Commonwealth, and the Championnats Panpacific. This is where she won two gold medals and four bronze.
Personal facts:
The Olympic medalist was really inspired by Dara Torres an American swimmer. She took her as a model because this swimmer is determinate and she won 12 Olympic medals. Miss Savard has habits like she always travels with her pillow and she likes to eat pasta before any competition.
