On May 23, the stunning event that happens annually was breathtaking. If you missed it, don’t worry. I got you.

DJ Khaled, H.E.R., and Migos began the lively show outside Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater, performing their hit “We Going Crazy” to a delighted audience. After a year without live music, the energy of the masked crowd swaying along (not to say the dancing trombone players) was an extended overdue treat.

“I’d wish to thank God that I do not need to wear that red suit anymore,” the “Blinding Lights” singer joked during his acceptance speech for top hot 100 artists, poking fun at finally going to he wore all last year to market his album After Hours. The singer took home 10 awards, including top artist and top Hot 100 artist.

Alicia Keys took the audience on a tour of the various keyboards and pianos around the stage, showing off a special set of keys for every song.

While introducing longtime friend and recipient Pink, Bon Jovi revealed a singular gift he sent the singer after she admitted to him that she’d had a childhood crush on him and had been heartbroken when she learned he was married: a huge floral arrangement and a pair of his leather pants. “Now you’ll finally get in my pants,” he jokingly wrote alongside the gift.

Before performing a medley of her top hits from the past few decades, the singer, wowing the audience with an eye-popping acrobatic performance of their duet “Cover Me in Sunshine.”

In honour of the 30th anniversary of their song “Optimistic,” the Grammy-winning music ensemble performed a moving rendition of the song from Paisley Park in Minneapolis. Introduced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the performance featured photos from last summer’s Black Lives Matter protests projected within the background.

Standing atop a parked car against a trippy display, the Colombian singer — who earned the award for top female Latin artist — brought her trademark energy to the show together with her Spanish-language hits “Bichota” and “El Makinon” while surrounded by a gaggle of background dancers wearing all white.

In a pre-taped clip, the worldwide group brought the red carpet to Seoul as they performed their hit song “Butter.” The K-pop sensation also took home the awards for top song sales artist, top duo/group, top social artist (fan-voted), and top-selling song for “Dynamite.”

Drake may be a hard man to upstage — but his adorable 3½-year-old son Adonis nearly managed to try to do just that when he accompanied his dad to simply accept the. Drake, who has won 29 Billboard awards, holds the foremost awards
