People weren’t happy about the promise and the final text.

The population did not appreciate it when the minister said they were going to reduce the consumption of gas instead of saying they would completely stop. They had huge standards and India didn’t respect what they said. There are negotiators from almost 200 countries who made a deal to keep their most ambitious climate goal alive. It was one of the hardest decisions for the future. 

 

Trudeau decided to have a zero gas sector by 2050. He said that it’s the best thing to do for the environment. The objective of  cop26 it’s that all the cars will be electric and no more petrol. He wants to stop the research on petrol by 2023. Like that the population will stop buying gas. 

 

After two weeks of often fraught COP26 talks, from 31 October 2021 to 12 November 2021 they agreed to reduce the use of coal. The biggest polluters are China,  U.S and India will carry through on their promises.

They all think that it was better than nothing and provides incremental progress if not success. Our planet is changing.
