Los Angeles is getting destroyed by the forest fire and thousands of people are getting kicked out of their residence.
The LA wildfire already killed 29 people, thousands were injured and over 100,000 were displayed. People that are homeless are worried because they don’t know when they will be back home. Kids and teens are scared because they might lose everything and this may change their life. A teen was screaming “I’m 18 years old and I want a future.”
Fire experts say it could take weeks before they get back home with no worries. They called the red flag emergency a few days ago for an undetermined time.
Other countries are helping Los Angeles. For example Canada is ready to deploy 250 firefighters and Québec has sent two more planes in addition to the two that have been sent at the start of the wildfire.
It destroyed approximately 12,000 structures throughout LA including working building and also stores which means that people will lose a lot of money and they won’t be able to build their business. It could affect their salary and in the end they will have less money to feed their family. The cost might be up to 50 billion dollars in total loss and has already exceeded the 2018 Fire Camp which cost around 12.5 billion dollars.
There are no exact reasons how the fire would have started but there are a few theories: the climate changes, power lines slapped together due to high wind and there are also human causes. Some people are currently under investigation.
The police arrested the man who started the little mountain fire on purpose. They arrested two other people and according to the police, one said “I liked the smell of burning leaves ” and the other one said “I enjoyed causing chaos and destruction.”
Unfortunately strong winds, some even going up to 70 mph, are coming in the next few days which means fires will gain a lot of ground and more firefighters are sent on the ground.
The most important fire is the palisade fire, it’s located between Beverly Hills and Malibu. The fire is 23,713 acres big and 19% is contained according to the firefighters.
The Eaton fire is located at the north-east part of LA and is 14,117 acres big and is 45% contained.
The smallest fire, the Hurst fire is located close to Santa Clarita and is 799 acres and is almost all contained.
