Lac Delage might become the biggest fat bike site in Canada within 5 years with about 100 km of trail .

Since fat bike has become a fad, fat bikers don’t have a lot of places to practice their sport. Lets not forget that these bikes only operate properly on a meticulously maintained surface. But Lac Delage is trying to make it more possible by developing more trails and maintaining them.

For now, Lac Dejage has about 20 km of fat bike trails. The owner of the trails, Christian Bourque, has planned a 5 year development to grow this sector. They are willing to add trails and they want to link their network to Village Vacance Valcartier.

They have about 100 million foot square of land. There are approximately  600 volunteers helping to maintain and to build the trails. When the development will be finished, there will be more than 100 km of trail and they are going to be the largest fat bike site in Canada.

To finance the project, they sell season passes. Christian Bourque has some difficulties because he needs a license to develop outside his land and the municipality of Stoneham doesn’t want to give it to him. As a result, he has to stick to his land only.
