3 Brands You Should Boycott

3 Brands You Should Boycott

The number of brands supporting Israel is increasing everyday. Many of your favorite brands are supporting the genocide going on and you don’t even know it.

As of today, more than 30 000 innocent people have died in Gaza. Israel has been doing so for as long as october 7 last year. Many luxury brands have also been seen either financially supporting Israel or have voiced out their support to israel. People believed these brands should not be paid or advertised in any way. They have been giving money to israel for unknown reasons, so people have called for boycott of these stores.

Chanel is one of the brands on boycott. The French brand was best known for its high fashion clothing. It is very popular for rich people. Coco Chanel first made the brand popular in 1910 in a boutique in Paris. The brand’s products were always high quality and beautiful which attracted customers. However, recently people have been pretty open about the boycott all because the owner of the brand, Alain Wertheimer was exposed for donating $4 million  to aid Israeli soldiers. Once people found out, they were angry, and started to boycott the brand to prevent the luxury brand from gaining any more money.

The principle of boycott consists of not buying any merchandise from the brand in question and spreading the word about the boycott by paid advertisement. During a boycott, you should not be promoting the brands in any way, to prevent people from being influenced and buying the product. Many stores have in fact been affected by the boycott of their customers, yet people have not been consistent in boycotting and keep paying the companies

Another clothing brand that is boycotted these days is Louis Vuitton. The brand, known for fancy and expensive merchandise, also happens to be owned by the french. The owner, born in 1949, is Bernard Arnault. This brand has given the people a reason to boycott their stores, the first one being similar to Chanel. The french brand was also caught up with having financial ties with Israel. The owner of the brand’s parent company, Bernard Arnault, has invested millions in Israeli companies.

Zara, a popular brand for teenagers these days has been on thin ice due to their choice of advertisement campaign. Zara is accused of being extremely inappropriate and inconsiderate regarding the Gaza and Israel situation. In their recent campaign, you could see the mannequins have missing limbs and are wrapped in white. People, after seeing this, called out the brand for being controversial and then called for its boycott.
