On April 11, 2026, a new disease appeared aboard a boat in the middle of the ocean. Someone on the boat started to get sick. Not long after his first symptom appeared, he died.
After this event, scientists began analyzing it to determine its possible cause. They found out that it comes from rats’ waste. They assumed that the victim ate rat waste without their noticing.
The problem was that this disease is contagious, and after the first death, some other people on the boat started having the same symptoms, and hours later, they died too.
Here are some symptoms they noticed: high fever, chills, headache, and muscle pain. You can also feel very tired, have nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Breathing problems like shortness of breath and cough can occur, and can make it even more dangerous. Death could come no longer after that.
For the prevention and security of the population, the authority of the boat establishes a quarantine system, but even with the protection in place, the virus still reached France and even Quebec.
Fortunately, the scientists are pretty sure it won’t be a pandemic like COVID-19.
It is important not to forget to wash your hands before eating; it is contagious. Did you know that there are 30 different strains of hantavirus, and so thousands of variations exist. Also, if you’re in the early stage, you might need to isolate yourself because you could give it to someone around you.
Did you know that the COVID-19 mortality rate is 1%, compared to hantavirus, which can reach 40%? The virus is a lot more dangerous than the last one.
If you thought COVID-19 was bad, watch out for the Hantavirus.
