Throughout the year, bus 84G has consistently been overcrowded, causing chaos for bus drivers and users. Many students have been complaining about what happens on the bus. People are always screaming, throwing things, and ringing the bell for no reason, just to bother the driver.
On May 22, an incident occurred in which students with water guns started shooting water everywhere. It escalated quickly, and students started throwing water from their water bottles, some even emptying their whole bottles. Someone had bleach in a bottle and also started throwing it everywhere. The bus was filled with water, and students were screaming. The bus stopped just before the Terminus Les Saules, and dropped everyone there, trying to manage this disaster
The circumstances aboard that bus have remained the same for years. Many times in the past, students have been advised to remain composed, as this can be stressful for the driver, who must navigate a bus carrying over fifty shouting passengers. Nothing changed; the students continued to act recklessly after the warnings.
At school, students are taught about respect and civility: to raise their hands, respect the teacher, and address professors formally, but as soon as they step outside, they forget how to behave. It is unclear why those conventions are so easily pushed aside when taking public transportation.
