A Pakistan-American man has been senteced to death for raping and beheading the daughter of a distinguished diplomat 

Zahir Jaffer has been judge for killing Noor Mukadam, 27, was found last july 20. He was charge, from one of Pakistan’s most important families, with a murder that dominated headlines evern since. 

“The maximum sentence was necessary”, the victim’s father said after sentencing. 

Jaffer, a 30-year-old son of an influential family , was arrested at the scene of the attack and later charged with premeditated murder, rape, abduction and confinement 

Pakistan has a poor record when it comes to violence against women and girls, but Noor Mukadam’s death shockwaves through the country because of Jaffer’s family.
