Xinya is a new asian supermarket in Duberger. It took the old place of the Iga on Père-Lelièvre. Xinya recently opened its doors on August 2nd, 2024. It was created to serve the growing demand for Asian groceries in Québec.

You can find a wide variety of Oriental products from different countries, including China, Japan, Vietnam, India, and many more. Customers can find what they need, for example, fresh fruits and vegetables from countries in Asia.
“I like the fruits there. I like the lychees and longans,” said a customer.

They also sell ramen, snacks, and seasonings around the grocery store. There are frozen and refrigerated foods next to the section for freshly made sushi, hot Asian meals, and even bubble tea. Some customers appreciate the fact that they can find their special ingredients, for example, Asian vegetables, that they can’t get anywhere else.
“Go there if you’re looking for a special item or if you are into Asian cooking,” said a customer.

The low prices for items that customers haven’t tried yet or that they want to discover are also acknowledged by clients.
There is an online site where you can order groceries from the store and have them delivered to your house, similar to Uber Eats.
They also appreciate the store being clean, even though there can sometimes be boxes in the alleys. The alleys are small, so they can be in the way of clients.
Some said that they would avoid going around the butchery and fish counter because it can be smelly, and when the supermarket first opened, they could hear employees shouting in the back.
But other than that, they offer good customer service, Asian foods that are not too expensive, and a lot of food choices.
