Katseye is a global girl group founded by entertainment companies HYBE and Geffen Records. They debuted on June 28, 2024, with the release of their first single, “Debut.”
The six-member group—Daniela Avanzini, Jeong Yoonchae, Sophia Laforteza, Meret Manon Bannerman, Lara Raj, and Megan Skiendel—was formed through the reality survival show “Dream Academy,” representing many countries from all around the world.
Their sudden rise in popularity can be largely attributed to the TikTok dance challenge with their song “Touch.” Following this success, the group released multiple singles and EPs.
In 2025, two singles by Katseye blew up on TikTok, Spotify, and YouTube: “Gabriela” and “Gnarly”, along with an EP titled “Beautiful Chaos,” thanks to support from their fans, known as “Eyekons.”
They wrapped up the year with their tour, “The Beautiful Chaos Tour”, where they performed 16 shows in North America; the tickets sold out quickly, demonstrating their rapidly growing fan base. Following this remarkable year, the group earned 2nd place on the U.S. Google “Trending Musicians” chart and recognition as TikTok’s Global Artist of the Year.
“I think they were recognized as TikTok’s Global Artist of the Year because they maintain a strong presence on many social media platforms, including TikTok, which has helped them connect with fans worldwide.”
On January 2nd, 2026, the pop group released a new single that boosted their popularity: “Internet Girl”, which they teased during “The Beautiful Chaos Tour”. The song was popular among Eyekons and entered the Billboard Hot 100 within weeks of its release.
The group is expected to attend major upcoming events, including the 68th Grammys on February 1, where they are nominated for Best New Pop Artist, and Coachella, where they will perform on April 10th and 17th.
Overall, Katseye has rapidly gained recognition through viral hits, strong fan support, and many performances.
