On February 8th, the LV Super Bowl occurred in Santa Clara. The Seattle Seahawks faced the New England Patriots, which Seattle won easily, 29-13.
For the halftime show, Bad Bunny was chosen to perform in front of 128M people, including TV viewers. Before the show, he said in an interview that he expressed a lot of gratitude and excitement to perform.
He started by bringing hundreds of people disguised as tropical trees. Lots of dancers joined the party, and the singer sang many songs, all in Spanish. He walked through the grass valleys while singing his best hits, Yo Perreo Sola and Safaera.
The surprise singer this year was Lady Gaga, who sang Die With A Smile, in a different vibe. She changed the song so it would fit well with Bad Bunny’s style. She had a little dance with the main singer, and that was the end for her on stage. ” I wouldn’t miss it for the world”, said Lady Gaga after the show. Bad Bunny continued his show by climbing on poles while performing, which required talent.
He ended the magical show by bringing out all the American flags and naming them. He also held a football, which he threw on the field at the end, as a celebration. On the ball, the sentence ” Together We Are America” was written.
The part that surprised many was that ” The only thing more powerful than hate is love ” was written on the giant screen, which is a direct message to President Trump.
” It was truly very emotional. The message Bunny sent, whether you like his music or not, was one of love, culture, and affection. ” That’s what an ESPN reporter reacted after the performance.
USA president Donald Trump wasn’t very happy with his performance. He stated in a post that his show didn’t make sense and didn’t align with American values. He also called it terrible and one of the worst, EVER.
Bad Bunny sang his songs in complete Spanish, which pleased the majority of Latinos.
