School is meant to be a place where students prepare themselves for their futures. However, many of them face struggles on the way, such as stress, lack of motivation, and boredom due to outdated teaching methods. To ensure effective learning, the school should address these issues.
Because teachers often follow the same teaching schedule, they tend to give exams at nearly the same time. This means that students often have several exams clustered together in one week, rather than spread out over time. As a result, students may have long periods without tests, only to face many exams all at once. This creates unnecessary stress and makes it difficult for students to manage their workload effectively.
“Having so many exams scheduled at the same time is overwhelming. The resulting stress makes it difficult for me to study effectively,” said a student.
To solve this problem, teachers should try to communicate with each other to avoid scheduling exams at the same time. It might be challenging to apply, but it could really help students manage their stress and improve their studying.
Because they are in a crucial development stage, teens need a good amount of sleep. Unfortunately, most of them don’t get it, because they like to study or stay up late. As a result, teenagers can not focus properly at school and lack the energy to stay motivated.
It isn’t the school’s fault for the poor sleep quality of its students, but it can still adapt to support their well-being. To ensure that students get enough sleep to stay focused, school should start in the afternoon, around 1 P.M, and end later in the evening. With this, there would not be lunchtime, but rather a time for students to eat dinner.
These solutions may not be possible to impose, but another way to help students is to acknowledge these problems.
