At lunchtime, there is often a line of people waiting to buy something. The cafeteria’s popularity has never been higher before, despite people being upset about the replacement of their regular items.
In addition to price and quality, portion size also varied by food. The potatoes became much smaller. Previously, you had to buy three cookies in a pack, but now you can only purchase them separately.
After speaking with students of different grades, we noticed that people in secondary 1 and 2 love the new food. In contrast, the secondary 3-4-5 students are pretty upset about the change, as it is something they have had for many previous years. 2 vending machines have also been added for a quick snack or drink.
The paninis, potatoes, and bakery items are likely the most widely consumed items. The Paninis have changed a lot from what they used to be. It used to be hot and have various kinds like pizza, Italian, beef, and others. The new panini isn’t as well-liked as the old one. “The bread is dry, and the sauces have a weird taste.” “Those are not worth buying; it’s a waste of money for something that’s not even good.”
The company Gordon Food Service, which the school switched to, is rated 3.7 out of 5 stars and makes more than 18,700 deliveries every day. Their revenue has increased to up to 25 billion dollars annually since their founding in 1897, with impressive sales number.
