The courtyard of La Camaradière is in pretty bad shape. You might’ve seen it yourself: basketball hoops with curved rims, no net in the soccer goals, which need renewing. As well as the court being in bad condition, the school is too.
There are gums under every table, chair, and half-broken blackboards. It’s gotten to the point where a student sat on a chair with a fresh gum on it.
At least a few years ago, they started building an outside training park, which is good. The park is one of the two new things in the school. The second one is the modular. The modular’s great and it has a lot of working microwaves, which we don’t have in the rest of the school.
Now, the locker rooms. There are piles and piles of clothes just lying around. On the floor, the bench, even in the cabin. There is even a toilet missing, but that’s only for the boys. The girls, on the other side, have food on the floor, and it’s incredibly dirty everywhere. There are more clothes found on the locker’s floor than in the lost and found.
At least, the school bathrooms are okay. Some hand dryers are out of order, but it’s acceptable.
There is over 43000$ in vandalism. A lot of it comes from the missing toilet and the sports stuff being broken. The students need to stop breaking the school material.
The furniture, on the other hand, is damaged and broken, yet the school is on a low budget, so they can’t afford to repair it. There is also a lot of graffiti around the school.
The basketballs are done, the badminton raquets are badly broken, the birdies are shattered, some not even having the top part.
The floor is extremely dirty, especially in the winter. Even though the janitor is helpful and competent, the school keeps getting dirtier, so it needs another one.
But in the end, you don’t actually come to school for the material or the fact that it’s clean; you come for the teaching.
